Storaxa NAS Scam by Kickstarter

In February of ‘23 I & over 5000 others backed a project promoted by Kickstarter on its’ website by the name of Storaxa. Collectively nearly $2 million was transferred from ‘backers’ to Kickstarter. Since December ’23 Storaxa has ceased all communication and never delivered the promised rewards. This ‘project’ was obviously a scam.

I sent an email to Kickstarter asking them the following questions:

1. On what date was the $614 payment to Kickstarter from Christopher’s xxxx xxxx Credit Card distributed to the 'Creator' Storaxa?

2. Was the above payment distributed to the 'Creator' Storaxa in one lump sum or in multiple payments?

2a. If the above payment was distributed to the 'Creator' Storaxa in one lump sum please list the date of this transaction and the service used to provide the payment to the 'Creator' Storaxa.

2b. If the above payment was distributed to the 'Creator' Storaxa in multiple payments please list the dates of these transactions and the service(s) used to provide the payments to 'Creator' Storaxa.

3. Were the payment(s) made by Kickstarter to the 'Creator' Storaxa traceable and can the transaction(s) be disputed? If the answer to either of these questions is 'NO', why not?

4. Since the last update from the 'Creator' Storaxa was made on 12/07/2023 and it is now 03/06/2024, and 'Creator' Storaxa has failed to meet a last promised shipment date of the second week of 'January 2024', has Kickstarter recognized this 'Campaign' as 'Fraud' ? If not, why not? If so, what has Kickstarter done to attempt to contact the 'Creator' Storaxa to try to remedy this with the 'Campaign's' 5000+ Backers?

5. Does Kickstarter believe that it is ethical to be complicit in an act of Fraud while over 5000+ Backers suffer a combined loss of over 1.9 million dollars?

Kickstarter has not responded to any of these questions. Given this, I am curious how Kickstarter can be certain that these funds were not used for illicit activities, such as terrorist activity, child sex trafficking, or other horrific crimes? How can Kickstarter assure its’ users that Kickstarter is not complicit in these illegal activities and funneling our money to help support crime?

Learn More about this Kickstarter scam….

Kickstarter made a profit of at least $95,000 from the fraudulent @Storaxa campaign, yet has done nothing to help the nearly 6000 backers who collectively lost over $1,900,000.

Kickstarter claimed that Storaxa resided at the following address:

Room G, 19/F. Max Share Centre
367-373 Ling’s Road, North Point, Hong Kong

Yet, I found out from a Discover Card Representative that the funds charge by Kickstarter on my Discover Card were sent to a residential address in Denver Colorado that is owned by a 64 year old woman that has owned the property for 20 years. This address is not associated with Storaxa, Arrotrack, or any other business for that matter.

NASCompares has a video series about the Storaxa scam here, and also a section on its’ website about it here.
